SEMG SCAN

Here at Risoldi Family Chiropractic, we utilize the Insight Millenium Subluxation Station which measures Surface Electromyography (SEMG).

These results provide us with objective detections of nerve interference, help us document and monitor results and allow us to deliver the appropriate chiropractic care.

By reading the amount of current found in the muscles, the SEMG Scan measures how well the motor nerves are working. Subluxations disturb the function of the nerve, causing an abnormal amount of electrical current flowing into your muscles.

Normal function of the nerves is shown on the scans by white, even bars. Abnormal function is shown by colored bars. Green bars indicate mild function abnormalties, while blue indicates moderate, and red severe. A normal scan appears below.

The following scans are the pre and post scans of one of our practice members. You can see the progress that has been made by the lessening of color as she has progressed through chiropractic care

Thermal Scan

We use a thermal scan to test the temperature of the skin along each side of the spine. Normal body temperature is 98.6 degrees, and the skin along your spine should also be the same temperature. Your skin is the largest organ of the body and the blood vessels under the skin work as the body’s thermostat.

When the communication between the nervous system and the blood vessels is disturbed, it causes the body’s thermostat to malfunction producing an imbalanced temperature reading along the spine. This imbalance is shown as colored bars on each scan. The thermal scan provides us with information to monitor the autonomic system for proper function. The autonomic system controls all the organs and glands of the body.

What Is The Meridian Stress Assessment?

Meridian Stress Assessment (MSA) is a method of assessing energy imbalances in the body based on electrical impedance measurements taken at specific acu-points. This measurement can provide information on potential issues in specific areas of the body.

Acu-points are small points on the body that have twenty times more electical conductivity than surrounding areas. Eash acu-point directly relates to a system of the body or a specific organ. MSA utilizes 60 points on the hands and feet for testing.

Applying a small electrical current (2.4 volts) to the specific acu-point completes the actual MSA process. The prectice member holds a brass handmass to create a circuit. (Dont' worry - you won't feel anything more than you do holding on to an AA battery.) A scale of 0-100 is used to assess the electrical response to each point. A reading of 50 indicates stress or inflammation, while a reading below 50 indicates weakness or degeneration.

A nutritional protocol will then be tested to ensure complete balance before recommendations are made. Dr. Mike will review your test results and recommendations at your next visit. http://mikerisoldi.isagenix.com.
